US pulls out of World Health Organization and Climate Accord
In the political landscape of the United States, former President Donald Trump left a significant impact with his policies and decisions. Here's a brief overview of some of his key actions:
Trump's administration expressed support for the recognition of only two genders: man and woman, which potentially limits the rights of transsexual people. Transsexual individuals are those who identify as a gender different from the one assigned at birth. Some people may choose to undergo surgery to align their physical appearance with their identified gender.
Trump also had a strong stance on immigration. He aimed to implement stricter rules, with the goal of limiting the number of asylum seekers and migrants entering the USA from Mexico.
In terms of international relations, Trump intended to change several decisions made by the previous President Biden, specifically regarding the USA's participation in the World Health Organization (WHO). Trump believed that the WHO was not performing well and that the USA was overpaying for its services. As a result, the USA is no longer participating in the WHO, a move regarded as unfavorable by the organization.
Trump's administration also planned to withdraw the USA from the Paris Agreement, an international accord aimed at limiting Earth's warming. However, contrary to Trump's intentions, the EU Commission President, Ursula von der Leyen, has stated that the EU will remain in the Paris Agreement.
In a controversial move, Trump pardoned several criminals involved in the storming of a parliamentary building in 2021.
It's important to note that the President, currently identified as Trump, has the power to sign decrees that serve as directives, similar to laws. One such decree involved promoting inclusion, which means people with disabilities and people without disabilities live, work, and attend schools together, promoting their equal participation in society.
Despite extensive searches, no direct information was found about a specific person who announced to EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen that the EU would continue participating in the Paris climate agreement under Trump.
