Mudita, the Polish manufacturer known for its minimalist approach to technology, is making waves at the IFA in Berlin with the introduction of its latest offering, the Mudita "Compact" smartphone.

The "Compact" is designed for digital minimalists, aiming to discourage excessive use of the phone. It offers basic smartphone functions such as calling, a simple web browser, and offline navigation. The smartphone's unique selling point, however, is its power-saving E-ink display, which allows it to last up to six days on a single charge.

Sales Manager Katarzyna Kozminska confirmed that Mudita is looking for suitable distributors in Germany to expand its distribution structures. Currently, Mudita products, including the "Compact", are only available in Germany through the company's own online shop.

Aliaksandr Karovin, Head of Mobile & Software Project Management at Mudita, is showcasing the "Compact" in Hall 6.2 at the IFA. The recommended retail price of the Mudita "Compact" is 449 euros. Karovin stated that the E-ink display is the main cost driver for the "Compact".

The "Compact" is marketed as an alternative for those who want an Android device without Google's constant data sharing with third parties. Mudita products, apart from the "Compact", include alarm clocks and wristwatches.

It's worth noting that, at the moment, there are no publicly known companies or personalities specifically mentioned as potential distributors of Mudita's smartphone "Compact" in Germany.

The "Compact" has been used as a second phone in the Polish market, primarily by 25- to 45-year-olds. This expansion could potentially help German users reduce their smartphone usage.

The Mudita "Compact" is not a budget-friendly option, but for those seeking a more mindful approach to technology, it could be a worthwhile investment.
