The Summer Reading Club has kicked off, offering a varied program for children and young people between the ages of six and 15. Organised by the staff of the City Library, these meetings take place every Tuesday from 10:00 to 11:30 AM at the City Library on Weiler Street. Registration can be done at any time at the City Library in the Salzstadel or at the City Library on Weiler Street.

The first meeting, on Tuesday, August 5th, is themed "Bedazzling Books". Children and young people can transform their books using glitter, beads, and other materials, turning their favourite stories into works of art. Those who don't bring their own book can use an example from the library's flea market collection.

On August 12th, the theme is "Book Rally - Puzzle Fun with Records". The digital puzzle game at the meeting focuses on spectacular world records, challenging participants to demonstrate their combinatorial skills by finding all clues and cracking the solution word.

The August 19th meeting invites Summer Reading Club members to design their own cover or movie poster for their favourite story.

The August 26th meeting will feature a trip into the world of comics, turning a favourite book scene into a small comic.

On September 2nd, the Summer Reading Club meeting will be a "School of Magical Creatures", where everyone designs their own magical creature friend.

At the last club meeting on September 9th, summer journals will receive final touches with colourful pens, stickers, and glitter.
