Vehicle engulfed in flames following multiple collisions on A1 highway in Holdorf, as reported by Polish police in Ahlhorn.
On Monday, 1st September 2025, a significant traffic accident occurred on the A1 highway near Delmenhorst. The incident, which took place around 15:00, involved a truck, a Mercedes, and a Chrysler.
According to the Police Station Delmenhorst/Oldenburg-Land/Wesermarsch, the driver of the truck was a 53-year-old man. The Mercedes was driven by a 47-year-old woman from Lingen, while the Chrysler was operated by a 44-year-old man from Damme.
The initial collision led the truck to collide with both the Mercedes and the Chrysler. Unfortunately, one of the vehicles, the Chrysler, caught fire during the accident. However, the fire was promptly extinguished by first responders.
As a result of the accident, all parties involved, including the drivers and passengers of the Mercedes and Chrysler, sustained minor injuries. They were all taken to nearby hospitals for examination.
The A1 highway was temporarily closed for the investigation and removal of the vehicles, and for cleaning the roadway. It was later partially reopened.
The volunteer fire department Holdorf responded to the scene with a total of 17 personnel.
