Vehicle Flips Over at Wächtersbach
On Sunday evening at around 8:40 PM, a dramatic incident occurred on the country road connecting Wittgenborn and Spielberg. A BMW, carrying four occupants, veered off the road to the right and slid into a ditch, overturning in the process.
The driver of the BMW was a 21-year-old woman, while the passengers were all 18 years old. Unfortunately, all four occupants sustained minor injuries. One of the passengers was taken to a local hospital for further treatment.
Reports suggest that the accident occurred due to the driver exceeding the speed limit. The car is believed to have sustained total damage in the incident.
The road was closed for approximately an hour, until around 9:30 PM, to allow emergency services to attend to the scene and clear the vehicles. Witnesses to the incident are urged to contact the Gelnhausen police station at 06051 827-0.
