Vehicle halts on the roadside
In the morning hours of today, an unexpected incident occurred on Hamburger Straße in Dresden-Cotta. A lowloader carrying an excavator got stuck on a tram overhead line, causing significant disruption to the city's public transport system.
The police confirmed the incident, which took place around 9:30 AM. As a result, tram line 1 will not operate as usual, and the road in Dresden-Cotta, Hamburger Straße, was closed due to the incident.
Regrettably, the exact cause of the lowloader getting stuck is not specified in the text. However, it is clear that the incident resulted in approximately 50 meters of the tram line being torn down, and the tram line was damaged in the process.
Fortunately, there were no injuries during the incident. Repairs on the tram line are expected to last until the afternoon.
