Venice Film Festival: Screenings of 'Jay Kelly' and 'Frankenstein'
The Venice Film Festival, one of the world's most prestigious cinematic events, is in full swing. Among the many exciting premieres, the adaptation of Mary Shelley's classic novel, Frankenstein, has captured the attention of both critics and audiences alike.
On the red carpet, George Clooney joined Riley Keough and Adam Sandler for a memorable moment. Clooney, who plays Victor Frankenstein in the film, was slightly affected by a sinus infection but recovered well enough to attend the event.
The actor's charisma was on full display, as photographer Ernesto Ruscio captured a moment of Clooney playfully interacting with the paparazzi.
Joining Clooney was a talented ensemble, each bringing their unique style to the premier. Oscar Isaac, playing Igor, donned a largely-white dinner jacket with black triangular swatches on the lapels, adding a touch of off-duty rock-and-roll musician to his outfit.
Jacob Elordi, who portrays the "Monster," received praise for his performance under the direction of Guillermo del Toro. Elordi was dressed in a double-breasted jacket and stovepipe trousers, making a stylish statement on the red carpet.
Callum Turner, playing the Creature, opted for a single-breasted jacket with peaked lapels, raising questions about the visibility of a stem on his lapel. His co-star, Paris Jackson, channeled the gothic spirit of Mary Shelley in a Goth/biker look that was both tailored and fashionable.
Noomi Rapace, who recently premiered her film "Bugonia" at the festival, made a dramatic entrance at the Frankenstein premiere. She wore a unique geometric black-tie dress with an opera cape, grosgrain-striped tux pants, and a diaphanous white halterneck ensemble.
Nicole Avant, producer and former U.S. Ambassador to the Bahamas, was also present at the event, exuding confidence and comfort. Paris Hilton, too, graced the red carpet, adding a touch of glamour to the event.
This year, the Palazzo del Casino and Palazzo del Cinema, the festival's main venues, are bustling with activity. With 21 films in competition and 35 out-of-competition, the Venice Film Festival promises an exciting lineup for film enthusiasts.
Aaron Taylor-Johnson, heavily touted as the next Bond, attended the Frankenstein premiere in a white dinner jacket with a large shawl collar and a double-breasted design. As the festival continues, audiences eagerly await the next red-carpet moment.
