W Health Ventures Strengthens Leadership Team with Four New Appointments
W Health Ventures, a healthcare-focused venture capital firm, has bolstered its team with the addition of four new leaders. The new leaders will play active roles in launching and scaling new ventures, and will support company creation.
Among the new appointments is Ashish Singh, a former Global Head of Bain & Company's healthcare practice. With over 35 years of strategic leadership experience in healthcare, Ashish brings a wealth of knowledge to the table. He has a strong track record of mentoring VC- and PE-backed healthcare ventures.
Another new addition is Dr. Prakash Patel, who brings over 25 years of C-suite experience in payers, providers, and digital health in the US. At Anthem, Dr. Prakash launched, scaled, and set the foundation for the Diversified Business Group to grow nearly five-fold in four years. He now advises Reveal HealthTech, W Health's AI transformation services company.
Ajay Sondhi, with over four decades of global investment banking and governance experience, as well as experience in health sciences, is another valuable addition to the team. Ajay's capital markets and governance expertise will help W Health Ventures portfolio companies scale with strong institutional foundations. He is an alumnus of the Harvard Advanced Leadership Initiative and was a Senior Fellow at the Harvard Global Health Institute. Ajay serves on the boards of Maxx Orthopedics Inc., Maxx Medical, and Noora Health.
Mahad Narayanamoni, a Senior Advisor to TPG Growth and co-founder of Aknamed, comes on board as an Investment Committee member and advisor. Mahad has over 25 years of experience at the intersection of private equity and healthcare operations.
