Bildung.Table, a respected journalistic voice in the realm of Professional Briefings, is undergoing a significant change as one of its key team members, Denkler, steps away from journalism to join the Greens as co-director of the press office.

Denkler, who has been a part of Bildung.Table for over two decades, has played a pivotal role in establishing the platform as a leading expert medium for education policy in Germany. His departure marks the end of an era, but also the beginning of a new one, as Kraft prepares to take over full leadership next month.

Kraft, who started at Bildung.Table as an education editor in November 2023, has been praised for significantly shaping the editorial direction of the platform in recent years. Before joining Bildung.Table, Kraft worked for the German Press Agency (dpa) as a political scientist from 2019 to 2023.

As Denkler moves into politics, he has expressed concerns about the state of investigative journalism, fearing that it is no longer reaching parts of the population and has lost some of its influence. In an interview with Deutschlandfunk, he cited the right-wing portal "Nius" as an example of parallel media that, in his opinion, has nothing to do with journalism.

In a show of support for Kraft, Helene Bubrowski, the current editor-in-chief of Table Briefings, praised Kraft for his contributions, saying he has significantly shaped the direction of Bildung.Table.

Bildung.Table, published on Wednesdays and Fridays, continues to provide exclusive analyses, background information, and news aimed at "key decision-makers in politics, administration, science, and associations."

In a positive turn of events, Bildung.Table is welcoming Malte Neumann to its team. Neumann, a teacher and journalist, will join the team in mid-September. He has previously contributed as a freelance author for the "Tagesspiegel" on education and science topics.

Denkler's full interview with Deutschlandfunk can be listened to here.

As Kraft takes the helm, he expresses gratitude for Denkler's contributions and looks forward to continuing Bildung.Table's mission of providing insightful and impactful journalism.
