Veteran Brown's player discusses assumed expectations for Joe Flacco while Shedeur Sanders is readied as a backup

In the ever-evolving world of American football, the Cleveland Browns have added a promising new talent to their roster. Shedeur Sanders, son of NFL Hall of Fame legend Deion Sanders, was selected in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL Draft to join the Browns in 2025.

Sanders, who will be vying for a spot on the field in 2025, has already garnered the admiration of some of his teammates. Browns' starting guard Joel Bitonio, a 11-year NFL veteran who has spent his entire career with the team, has expressed his admiration for Sanders' hard work and dedication.

However, the road to the NFL is not always smooth. Last season, the Browns endured a tough year, finishing with a record of 3-14. Despite this, the team has made some changes in the offseason. One of these changes includes the return of Joe Flacco, who is back for his second stint with the Browns. Flacco, known for his calmness and sense of trust, has been named the starting quarterback for Week 1.

Sanders, currently third on the Browns' quarterback depth chart, had an underwhelming performance in his last preseason appearance. He threw for 14 yards and lost 24 yards on one play. However, the team remains optimistic about his potential.

Joining Sanders in the rookie class is Dillon Gabriel, another promising talent drafted in the 2025 NFL Draft. The Browns have a challenging schedule for the upcoming season, but Bitonio, ever the optimist, envisions meaningful games in December and January for the team.

Meanwhile, some key players remain with the team. Myles Garrett, among the top four highest-paid non-quarterbacks in the league, has committed to a multi-year extension worth $160 million with the Browns. The team's coach, Kevin Stefanski, will continue to lead the team, aiming to guide them to success.

The Browns have also made some moves in the offseason. Kenny Pickett, a former quarterback for the team, was traded to the Las Vegas Raiders. Despite these changes, the team remains focused on their goal: to take the field in 2025 and make a mark in the NFL.
