VfB Stuttgart have bolstered their attacking options with the signing of Algerian international Badredine Bouanani for a reported fee of €20 million. The 24-year-old joins the German club on a contract that extends until 2030.

Fabian Wohlgemuth, sporting director of VfB Stuttgart, hailed Bouanani as an offensively versatile player with international experience. The new signing, who previously played in last season's Europa League, is expected to provide additional options for the club's attacking game.

Bouanani expressed his delight at joining VfB Stuttgart, describing the club as a big one. He also revealed his admiration for the football played by the team. The Algerian footballer follows the Bundesliga in France and is the sixth new signing for the club this summer.

Meanwhile, VfB Stuttgart are reportedly close to securing the services of another striker, South Korea's Hyeon-gyu Oh from KRC Genk. The deal, worth around €20 million plus bonuses, is expected to be finalised soon.

The arrival of Bouanani comes at a challenging time for VfB Stuttgart, with Deniz Undav potentially sidelined for an extended period after sustaining a serious knee injury during a game against Borussia Mönchengladbach.

In a separate development, Nick Woltemade has left VfB Stuttgart for Newcastle United for a fee of up to €90 million. The departure of Woltemade, who has been a key player for the club, leaves a void that Bouanani and the other incoming players will look to fill.

Leicester City's Bilal El Khannouss is also reportedly set to join VfB Stuttgart on loan with an option to buy for €25 million. El Khannouss, a young, versatile offensive player mainly playing in midfield, is expected as a replacement for Enzo Millot, who transferred to Al-Ahli in Saudi Arabia.

VfB Stuttgart's medical team is set to assess Hyeon-gyu Oh on Monday, with the South Korean striker's potential arrival eagerly anticipated by the club's fans. As the transfer window nears its close, VfB Stuttgart are working tirelessly to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.
