VfB reinforces squad with two new experts.
In the ongoing transfer saga, German football club VfB Stuttgart has been making some significant moves. The DFB Cup winners are set to welcome six new players to their ranks this summer, with the latest additions being Algerian forward Badredine Bouanani and South Korean striker Hyeon-gyu Oh.
Badredine Bouanani, who has impressed in French football, has joined Stuttgart on a contract that runs until 2030. The transfer fee for the Algerian international is reported to be 20 million euros. Bouanani, who has followed the Bundesliga closely, has expressed his delight at joining the club and appreciates Stuttgart's football style. His versatile offensive game will provide additional options for the team's offensive strategy.
Bouanani is not the only new face at the club. Leicester City's Bilal El Khannouss is set to join Stuttgart on loan with an option to buy for 25 million euros. Khannouss was brought in to replace Enzo Millot, who is yet to find a new club after his departure from Stuttgart.
Meanwhile, Stuttgart's sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth has praised the signing of Bouanani, stating that he is offensively versatile and has international experience in European competitions.
Another notable departure from Stuttgart is Nick Woltemade, who has moved to Newcastle United for up to 90 million euros.
In a less fortunate turn of events, Deniz Undav sustained a potential serious knee injury in the game against Borussia Mönchengladbach. The extent of the injury and the recovery time are yet to be determined.
As the transfer window continues, Stuttgart is reportedly close to finalising a deal for South Korean striker Hyeon-gyu Oh from Belgian club KRC Genk for around 20 million euros plus bonuses. Oh's medical with Stuttgart is scheduled for Monday.
With these new signings and potential deals in the pipeline, VfB Stuttgart is shaping up to have a strong squad for the upcoming season.
