Victory for DEG against Foxes Duisburg: 4-1 in exciting match
The Düsseldorf Eis- und Inlinehockeygesellschaft (DEG) kicked off the new season in style, securing a 4-1 victory over the Duisburg Füchse in their first game.
Coach Rich Chernomaz was without defender Kevin Maginaz for the match, but Max Faber and goalkeeper Ryan Bednard returned to the DEG team, bolstering their ranks.
The scoring began early, with Lenny Boos netting a goal in the first period to give the DEG a 1-0 lead. Ture Linden followed suit, increasing the lead to 2-0 before the end of the period.
The second period saw Erik Bradford extend the DEG's advantage to 3-0. The Foxes managed to score one goal in the final period, but it was not enough to threaten the DEG's lead. Max Faber scored again in the final period, securing a 4-1 victory for the home team.

Looking ahead, the DEG will face the Krefeld Pinguine in a derby next Sunday, September 7, 2025, with a face-off at 3 pm. The season opener will take place next week in front of the Düsseldorf town hall.
