Paolo Gallito Wins the Efren "Bata" Reyes Yalin 10-Ball Championship
Paolo Gallito, a pool player from Mandaluyong City, emerged victorious in the Efren "Bata" Reyes Yalin 10-Ball Championship held at Pacman's Cue Club on August 30, 2025.
Gallito's journey to the title was not an easy one. In the semifinals, he faced off against Bryan Paco, a fellow Filipino pool player. Despite Paco's earlier victory over Gallito with a score of 11-5, Gallito turned the tables in the semifinals, winning with a score of 11-5.
The final match was a thrilling affair, going down to the wire. Gallito and Lee Vann Corteza, another talented pool player, battled it out past midnight on Sunday, Aug. 31, 2025. In a nail-biting finish, Gallito emerged victorious with a score of 13-12.
Gallito was over the moon about his win. He expressed his pride in taking the trophy and considered the final match something he would remember forever. Corteza, who defeated Oliver Villafuerte in the semifinals with a score of 11-8, received a prize of P300,000.
As the winner, Gallito received a prize of P1 million. Francisco Rivera, the chairman of the Games and Amusement Board (GAB), sanctioned the championship.
With this win, Gallito added another feather to his cap in a career that has seen him rise through the ranks of Philippine pool. His victory at the Efren "Bata" Reyes Yalin 10-Ball Championship is a testament to his skill, determination, and love for the game.
