Vietnamese cultural venue to stage Vietnam Golf Summit
The Việt Nam Golf Course Owners Summit (VNGOS) 2025 is set to take place at the picturesque Laguna Lăng Cô Resort in Huế City, Vietnam on October 30-31, 2025. This highly anticipated event will bring together golf course owners, government leaders, international experts, and global partners in an official forum to discuss the future of the industry.
The summit, which is part of Wellness Tourism Week-Việt Nam Golf Festival within the framework of the National Tourism Year in Huế City in 2025, is seen as a catalyst to elevate Việt Nam's golf industry. The focus of the summit is first and foremost on long-term sustainability, with discussions on preferential investment policies, public-private partnerships, and FDI models for comprehensive development on the agenda.
The development roadmap and future of 100 new golf courses will be a key focus of the summit, aiming to position Việt Nam as a leading golf destination in Asia. The summit will also focus on promoting inbound golf tourism, with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism considering golf as a strategic driver within the national tourism ecosystem.
Greg Norman, Vietnam's Tourism Ambassador for the 2025-30 term, believes the summit will be a milestone event as Vietnam embraces the potential of golf as an economic driver and tourism anchor. The Laguna Lăng Cô Golf Club, designed by Sir Nick Faldo, will host the sustainability-focused summit.
Jed Moore, Group CEO - 54, will oversee the implementation of the summit. Moore will aim to lay the foundation for establishing the Việt Nam Golf Course Owners Alliance at the event. The summit is considered a foundational milestone for the 2025-30 period with a vision for 2040.
Huế City and Đà Nẵng, popular sites in central Việt Nam, already boast golf courses designed by golfing legends such as Nick Faldo, Greg Norman, Collin Montgomerie, and Luke Donald. The summit is expected to open a new chapter in the development of golf tourism and the golf economy in Vietnam.
The summit will gather various stakeholders from across the public and private sectors to grow and promote Vietnam as a unique golf destination to the world. With its focus on sustainable development, preferential policies, and comprehensive development strategies, the VNGOS 2025 is poised to set the stage for a bright future for golf in Vietnam.
