Offender initially implicated in acts of station-based violence barred from the premises - Violent Offender Prohibited from Station Premises for First Time
In a bid to improve security and prevent further crimes, the Düsseldorf police have enforced an area entry ban on a 31-year-old man suspected of committing at least 27 acts of violence. The ban, which is part of the "Security in the Station Area" project initiated by the city of Düsseldorf, police, and the Federal Police in September 2024, is enforced around the main train station.
The man, whose name remains undisclosed in the search results, has been active since November 2024. In August, he is said to have committed three cases of bodily harm and a robbery in the train station area. Several of the acts of violence were also reported to have taken place within the train station district.
The ban, valid for a period of three months, is a measure to prevent further crimes and protect passers-by. Violation of the ban may result in a fine of 500 euros or substitute detention. The police imposed this ban on a man suspected of committing 27 acts of violence, many of which were in the train station area.
This is the first time the Düsseldorf police have taken such action against the man. The measure will be tested in similar cases in the future. The action is aimed at improving security around the main train station, making it a safer place for the public.
The project was started in response to the 27 acts of violence committed by the 31-year-old. The ban on the man is expected to contribute significantly to maintaining peace and order in the train station area.
