A Coeburn, Virginia resident has struck it lucky, winning a $200,000 prize from a $20 scratch-off ticket in the Virginia Lottery's 50X The Money game. The winning ticket was purchased at Roadrunner Market in Coeburn.
The identity of the winner of the second prize tier, one of two remaining $200,000 prizes, has not been publicly disclosed. The lucky winner was watching football when they discovered their prize. The 50X The Money game offers a wide range of prizes, from $20 up to the top prize of $3 million. There are still six $20,000 prizes and many more prizes between $2,000 and $20 available in the game.
The odds of winning the top prize are 1 in 1,142,400, but the overall odds of winning any prize are more favorable at 1 in 3.03. The top prize can be collected as annuity payments over 30 years or as a cash value of $1.5 million.
