SEGA has announced a closed beta test for the new version of Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage, set to take place from September 10th to 15th. This testing period invites the community to participate in a crucial phase, as SEGA aims to evaluate server performance, measure game stability, and assess the online experience.
The beta will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC. Users can try out various game modes during the beta, including Ranked Mode, Online Matchmaking, Training Mode, Offline Arcade Mode, and cross-platform play.
To participate, players on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series must register a SEGA account and request an access code through SEGA's website. On PC, interested parties must request access to the beta on the game's Steam page.
As a reward for participants, the closed beta of Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage will offer an exclusive in-game title, "Virtua Team," for those who take part.
SEGA is employing rollback netcode technology during online fights to minimise latency and ensure a better experience. The new version of the fighting title will also feature 4K resolution graphics.
For those who own Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown on PlayStation 4, a special price is available to upgrade to the World Stage version on PlayStation 5. The new version of Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage will also offer a single-player campaign.

World Stage is handled by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio, with Sega AM2 overseeing the reproduction and competitive scenes. Producers Seiji Aoki and Riichirou Yamada lead the project.
