Visit of Congressman Mike Kennedy, along with staff members of Senators Curtis and Lee, at the Vector headquarters in Salt Lake City

In a recent tour of its Salt Lake City facility, mission-driven defense technology company Vector welcomed Representative Mike Kennedy, Senators Mike Lee and John Curtis, and their staffers. The visit aimed to highlight Vector's role in driving economic growth in Utah and keeping the United States competitive on the global stage.

During the tour, Vector emphasised its focus on purchasing attritable systems consistently without the need for every purchase to go through a procurement contract. The company's goal is to reclaim American tech superiority by equipping warfighters with the tools and insights needed to dominate modern battlefields. This is achieved through Vector's modern warfare-as-a-service, enabling forces to outpace and outmatch advanced adversaries.

The tour also included a policy discussion on the future of American manufacturing and defense innovation. Vector underscored two critical policy priorities for accelerating U.S. defense readiness: meaningful demand signals from the government and empowering DoD Commanders to cut red tape.

In July 2022, Vector collaborated with the consulting firm Boston Consulting Group (BCG) to support recommendations for advancing U.S. defense innovation and accelerating U.S. defense readiness. The company's focus is on delivering battlefield-ready solutions and bridging the gap between innovation and deployment.

The team at Vector includes former special operations leaders and pioneering drone engineers. Andy Yakulis, CEO and co-founder of Vector, served as an Army Special Operations Commander before leading the company. In a statement, Yakulis emphasised the importance of industry-policymaker partnerships.

Congressman Mike Kennedy posted on social media about his visit to Vector's facility, stating that Utah is leading in drone innovation for the American warfighter. Prioritising drone technology, Kennedy said, will strengthen and secure the future of the military. Vector also showcased how it advances technology, creates high-quality jobs for veterans and Utah residents, and strengthens U.S. military readiness.
