Nevada Gaming Revenue Shows Resilience in June 2025

Nevada's gaming industry continued to show resilience in June 2025, with a 3.1% increase in revenue compared to the same month last year. This growth was observed despite a 6.3% decrease in passenger traffic at Harry Reid International Airport, suggesting that the state's appeal to tourists remains strong.

On the Las Vegas Strip, gaming revenue saw a 0.9% increase, reaching $423.4 million, despite a 11.3% decline in visitation. Slot revenue on the Strip rose by 10% to $420.2 million, with a 20% increase in slot win. However, baccarat win on the Strip decreased by 6.9% to $126.5 million. The Strip's games win decreased by 8.3%, and the drop totaled $2.2 billion, a decrease of 3.5%.

Downtown Las Vegas and local casinos saw significant growth. Gaming revenue in downtown Las Vegas increased by 19.2%, and casinos that serve local residents in Nevada reported a 9.3% increase in revenue. The Boulder Strip also showed strong performance, with a 19.3% increase in revenue to $87.3 million.

Reno and Laughlin also reported growth, with Reno seeing a 5.6% increase in gaming revenue to $67.8 million, and Laughlin recording a 6.6% increase to $39.9 million. North Las Vegas, Sparks, and Washoe County also saw increases in gaming revenue, with North Las Vegas reporting a 4.7% increase, Sparks a 1.8% increase, and Washoe County a 6.8% increase.

However, Elko County was the only region to report a decrease in gaming revenue, down 0.5%. Mesquite and South Lake Tahoe saw increases in gaming revenue, with Mesquite recording a 2.4% increase to $14.1 million, and South Lake Tahoe a 2.6% increase to $19.7 million.

In sports betting, Nevada sportsbooks won 41.2% more in June 2025 compared to the previous year. This growth was despite a slight decrease in wagering and revenue for the fiscal year 2025 compared to fiscal year 2024.

These figures suggest that Nevada's gaming industry continues to adapt and thrive, even in the face of challenges. As the state continues to attract visitors and offer a diverse range of gaming options, its revenue is likely to remain strong.

In Las Vegas, also known for its casino-and-gambling culture, the increase in casino revenue was observed, even with a decrease in visitation, showcasing resilience within the industry. The growth in sports betting in Nevada, with a 41.2% surge in sports-betting winnings, further enhances the diversity of the gaming options available.
