In a bid to strengthen broadband capacities and meet the growing demand for mobile data traffic in the Schwerin district, Vodafone Germany, the largest national subsidiary of the global telecommunications company, Vodafone Group, will be conducting a network upgrade from September 8 to September 19, 2025.
The purpose of the upgrade is to enhance the mobile network's capabilities, with the installation of additional broadband antennas at a local mobile station in Schwerin's Kerbsförden district. This modernization work is essential to sustain the quality of the mobile network and is part of Vodafone's commitment to operating its business more sustainably and protecting the environment.
Vodafone aims to be CO2-neutral by 2025 and emission-free by 2040. During the construction period, the mobile station will not be available, and temporary restrictions for individual customers may occur. Vodafone apologizes for any temporary inconvenience and emphasizes that regular maintenance and modernization work are crucial to maintaining the quality of the mobile network. Emergency calls to 112 are not affected, and the location of the caller will continue to be automatically transmitted to the emergency control center.
