Volkswagen has announced that its popular T-Roc SUV is set for an upgrade in 2025, with the second-generation model set to join the lineup by 2027.

The new T-Roc will come equipped with electrified engines, marking a significant step forward in Volkswagen's commitment to sustainable mobility. The 2026 T-Roc Full-Hybrid with a performance output of 135 PS (99 kW) will be manufactured by Volkswagen itself, as part of its new hybrid powertrain lineup developed from scratch.

The T-Roc will also feature advanced hybrid technology exclusive to the European market, with front-wheel drive. In addition to the Full-Hybrid, two full hybrids with power outputs of 135 PS and 170 PS (125 kW), and a 2.0 TSI with 204 PS (150 kW) and all-wheel drive will follow in 2026.

Standard features of the new T-Roc include a 10.0-inch Digital Cockpit Pro and assistance systems such as lane-keeping, emergency braking, and lane change assist. The SUV will also come with a 1.5-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine with 115 PS (85 kW) and a 48-V mild hybrid system.

The T-Roc's interior has been upgraded with softer surfaces and a fabric-covered dashboard, providing a more comfortable driving experience. The SUV will also offer more interior space, with an increased trunk volume of 465 liters and a wheelbase of 2,631 mm.

The new T-Roc boasts a more distinctive front and rear section, with LED headlights (standard) and optional Matrix-LED. The SUV's design has been sharpened, giving it a more modern and athletic appearance.

Optional features for the new T-Roc include a display up to 12.9 inches, a head-up display, a Harman/Kardon hi-fi system, a driver experience switch with "Atmospheres" profiles, and voice control with ChatGPT integration.

The new T-Roc will be available at a starting price of 30,845 euros (as of August 2025). The SUV is 4,373 mm in length, an increase of 122 mm, providing more room for passengers and cargo.

The T-Roc's Travel Assist allows for automatic lane changes, while the Park Assist Pro stores and retrieves parking maneuvers via smartphone, making parking easier than ever.

The new T-Roc's interior also features illumination in the door panels, adding a touch of elegance to the cabin. With its electrified engines, enhanced features, and sleek design, the new T-Roc is set to be a standout in the SUV market.
