Walking board installed for the first time in Büchenbronn
In the picturesque Pforzheim district of Buchenbronn, nestled within the forested high-lying area of the Northern Black Forest, a significant development is taking place. The Buchenbronner Bürgerverein Büchle e.V. and local sponsors have implemented a series of hiking signs, aiming to highlight the town's unique hiking trails and attractions to both residents and tourists.
The installation of fifteen hiking signs will be completed in the near future, enhancing the navigability of Buchenbronn's hiking network. The first sign has already been erected at the car park on the L 562, marking the beginning of the Großer Buchenbronner Rundweg (GBR), a 10.7 km hiking trail that winds through Buchenbronn and Sonnenberg.
Alongside the GBR, Buchenbronn offers two more smaller hiking trails: the Sonnenweg, also known as the Kleiner Buchenbronner Rundweg, with a length of 6.6 km, and the Nagoldhalde-Rundweg, starting at the car park "Neuer Friedhof" and spanning 6.9 km.
These trails are not mere repetitions of the long-distance hiking trails. Instead, they offer unique experiences, with the GBR leading to the observation tower, Herrmannsee, wildlife enclosure, fairytale path, forest sports path, and providing further information about the district. The Sonnenweg and Nagoldhalde-Rundweg, too, offer their own distinct attractions, with the Sonnenweg passing through the cemetery forest and the Bergdorf-Bewegungsparcour being a future attraction marked by the hiking signs.
The group responsible for the installation of these hiking signs is the Schwarzwaldverein. This move is part of a broader initiative to promote Buchenbronn as a destination for hiking enthusiasts, offering numerous day trip options into the surrounding region.
