Weekend of Four Arrest Warrant Issuances
Last weekend, the Bavarian Federal Police executed several arrest warrants, marking a busy period for the law enforcement agency. The operations, which took place across various locations, resulted in the apprehension of individuals wanted for a range of offenses.
One of the arrests was made on an Eurocity train travelling from Zürich to Munich. A man, whose identity has not been disclosed, was taken into custody. In a separate incident, a Polish passenger was arrested at Lindau-Reutin station for theft and fraud. The individual paid an outstanding fine of over 700 Euros to avoid a prison sentence.
Another individual, a Moldovan truck driver, was wanted by the Traunstein public prosecutor's office for over three and a half years. He was arrested at the Hörbranz border crossing for obtaining false official documents. A fake driver's license was found on the Moldovan during a police check near Bad Feilnbach in early 2020.
Two more individuals, a 27-year-old Italian man and a Romanian man, were arrested at Lindau-Reutin station. The Italian man was wanted for theft and had stolen and damaged a motorcycle in Nuremberg in August. He was taken to Kempten prison to serve a substitute prison sentence due to inability to pay a 3,000 Euro fine. The Romanian man avoided a five-day imprisonment by paying a 300 Euro fine. The Bayreuth public prosecutor's office had been looking for the man since April for an offense against the law on misdemeanors.
The Federal Police Director of the Federal Police Inspection Kempten is Sven-Oliver Klinke. The area of responsibility of the Bundespolizeiinspektion Kempten includes the districts of Landsberg am Lech, Lindau, Ostallgäu, Oberallgäu, Unterallgäu, and Weilheim-Schongau, as well as the independent cities of Kaufbeuren, Kempten, and Memmingen.
