Weld County's 911 Center Secures Fifth Accreditation, Recognized for Outstanding Performance
WCRCC Achieves Prestigious IAED Accreditation for Fifth Time
The Weld County Regional Communications Center (WCRCC) in Weld County, CO, has been recognised as the 180th center worldwide to achieve accreditation from the International Academies of Emergency Dispatch (IAED). This accreditation marks the WCRCC as one of the top 911 communications centers not only in Colorado, but also in the nation and the world.
The accreditation, which remains valid until September 17, 2028, emphasises excellence in emergency medical dispatching. To earn this distinction, the WCRCC's dispatchers must meet the IAED's strict "20 Points of Accreditation."
Laurie Pfeiler, Deputy Director of Weld County's Department of Public Safety Communications, highlighted the extraordinary dedication, skill, and heart of the WCRCC's staff. She stated that dispatching is an incredibly demanding job requiring focus, compassion, and split-second decision-making.
In the most recent round of IAED certifications, only 68 U.S. centers were recognised, with the WCRCC being one of them. This is the fifth consecutive accreditation the WCRCC has received since 2013, making it one of the most consistently high-performing emergency call centers in the country.
The accreditation signifies that the WCRCC provides calm, accurate, and lifesaving guidance during emergencies. For more information on emergency dispatching and accreditation, visit the International Academies of Emergency Dispatch.
The WCRCC has been recognised as an Accredited Center of Excellence (ACE) by the IAED, a testament to its commitment to providing exceptional emergency services. This achievement is a source of pride for the WCRCC and the community it serves, and it underscores the importance of emergency dispatching in saving lives.
