West Ham's seasonal struggles eased as they began mending their shaky start.

In a disappointing turn of events, Nottingham Forest suffered a 3-0 loss to West Ham United at the City Ground in Nottingham, England. This defeat marks the third loss for the Forest in the Premier League season.

The match started off promising for Nottingham Forest, with the team maintaining control during the first half. However, the tide turned in the second half, leading to a significant reversal of fortunes for the home team.

Nottingham Forest's manager, Nuno Espirito Santo, acknowledged that the result of the match did not help his situation. He expressed dissatisfaction with his team's performance in the second half, stating it was "shocking." Espirito Santo also indicated that he will address what the club needs in his talks with the owner, Evangelos Marinakis.

The win was West Ham United's first in the Premier League season after a woeful start. West Ham United's captain, Jarrod Bowen, scored one of the goals, while Callum Wilson scored his first goal for the team. Lucas Paqueta scored a goal from a penalty spot. West Ham United won the match 3-0, marking a significant victory for their manager, Graham Potter, who had been under pressure due to previous heavy defeats.

The current owner of FC Nottingham Forest, Evangelos Marinakis, has had a notably strained relationship with the former coach Nuno Espirito Santo, especially around the recent defeat against West Ham United. This owner-club dynamic was a key factor in the coach's dismissal shortly after the defeat.

Despite the loss, Espirito Santo expressed that there will be a second chance to make things right in football. Nottingham Forest started the season with a win and a draw from their first two games, offering hope for a turnaround in their fortunes.

The defeat against West Ham United has also reportedly led to a cooling of relations between Nottingham Forest's owner and manager, leaving Espirto Santo's position unclear. Nuno Espirito Santo is expected to hold talks with club owner Evangelos Marinakis to discuss the future of the club and his role within it.
