West Indies' Current and Previous Test Captains Achieve Unique All-Round Double in CPL, Both Taking 60 Runs and Claiming 6 Wickets
In an electrifying display of batting and bowling prowess, St Lucia Kings' Roston Chase and St Kitts and Nevis Patriots' Jason Holder pulled off a unique all-round feat in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) Match 6.
Roston Chase, the all-rounder for St Lucia Kings, was in scintillating form, scoring 61 runs off just 38 deliveries. His innings included 8 fours and 2 sixes, helping St Lucia Kings to post a challenging total of 200-8. Tim David, another batsman for the Kings, also contributed significantly, scoring 46 runs off 23 balls. Johnson Charles added to the team's score with 52 runs off 28 balls.
For St Kitts and Nevis Patriots, Jason Holder shone brightly with the bat, scoring 63 runs off 29 balls. Jyd Goolie contributed 15 runs off 13 balls. Navin Bidaisee scored a valiant 50 runs off 36 balls, but it wasn't enough to match the Kings' total.
The match marked a first in the CPL, with players from both teams achieving this double feat in a single match. The last time such a feat was achieved was in 2013, when Kieron Pollard and Shoaib Malik, both for Barbados Tridents, accomplished it against St Lucia Zouks.
In an interesting turn of events, Jason Holder took the wicket of Tim David for St Kitts and Nevis Patriots, while Mwanamienje, the bowler for St Lucia Kings, took the second wicket for the Kings.
