Westenfeld witnesses a significant road accident, leaving 5 individuals hurt
In the heart of Bochum, a shocking incident unfolded yesterday afternoon when a head-on collision occurred between a passenger car and an unoccupied tour bus. The news was transmitted via news aktuell, with the source being the Fire Department Bochum.
At precisely 12:38 PM, an eCall from a passenger car in Westenfelder Street reached the Bochum Fire Department's control center. The responsible fire station from Wattenscheid arrived at the scene with emergency services within a few minutes.
Initially, six people were involved in the accident, five from the passenger car and one from the tour bus. Unfortunately, four children were among the injured individuals. The driver of the tour bus was uninjured and remained at the scene.
The fire department's role was limited to securing the vehicles and assisting the emergency services. Comprehensive investigations into the cause of the accident have been initiated by the traffic accident investigator (Unfallermittler or Verkehrsunfallermittler) from the police.
The injured individuals were treated at the scene by emergency medical technicians and a doctor, and then taken to a hospital in Gelsenkirchen. The operation was concluded after about an hour for the 26 emergency personnel.
