Wine Pavilion at the Oktoberfest: Kuffler Brothers Collaborate with Renowned Munich Chefs

In the heart of Schwabing, a familiar local favourite has been revived. Stephan Kuffler, the son of Roland Kuffler - the founder of the Kuffler Group, and Marc Uebelherr, a renowned gastronomic entrepreneur in Munich, have teamed up to bring back "Roland's Eck" at Bonner Platz.

The new "Roland's Eck" Weinzelt is not just a nostalgic nod to the past, but a modern culinary experience. Christian Müller, the corporate chef of the Kuffler Group, takes the helm as the head chef in the Weinzelt. He will be supported by Josef Gallenberger, the kitchen director at Kuffler's Seehaus.

The kitchen in the Weinzelt has been designed by Gerhard Zobler, an interior architect at Kuffler Inn Design. It boasts a modern layout, optimised for efficient processes, and strict hygiene technology. Ventilation technology has been carefully considered to ensure a comfortable dining experience for guests, even in the bustling environment of the Oktoberfest.

Two of Uebelherr's employees will handle service in the "Rolands Eck" Weinzelt area. The routing of the waitstaff has been thoughtfully planned, ensuring a seamless flow of service during the busy Oktoberfest season.

A separate cooling room has been built for poultry preparation, giving guests a glimpse into the culinary process. The retirement of Federico "Freddy" Gutierrez, the previous head chef, will be marked on the first Sunday of the Wiesn this year.

Marc Uebelherr and his partner, Alex Brenner, have reserved part of the tables at "Rolands Eck" Weinzelt for their regular guests. Uebelherr's other establishments include Kneipe 80 and Zoozie's, in addition to a Michelin-starred restaurant in Munich, along with several cafes and pop-ups.

Stephan Kuffler expresses his excitement about the collaboration with Marc Uebelherr, looking forward to the unique culinary journey that "Rolands Eck" at Bonner Platz will offer. With its blend of tradition and innovation, the Weinzelt corner promises to be a must-visit destination during this year's Oktoberfest.
