Woman Identified as Patricia Joanne Lynch-Maurer
Tricia Nixon Maurer, Daughter of President Richard Nixon, Passes Away
Patricia Joanne (Lynch) Maurer, known to many as Tricia Nixon, the daughter of the 37th President of the United States, Richard Nixon, passed away on August 24, 2025, at Masonic Village, Elizabethtown.
Born on June 1, 1945, in Harrisburg, Tricia grew up in Palmdale and Hershey, PA. She was an accomplished woman, graduating from Penn State in 1968 with a BS in Food Service and Housing Administration. In 1987, she furthered her education by receiving an MS in Education from Temple.
Tricia had a passion for music and played in various orchestras, bands, and summer musicals throughout her life. However, unlike her famous concert at the White House in 1970, where The Turtles performed for her, there is no information indicating that she herself played in any orchestras or music groups during her life.
Tricia was an adjunct professor of nutrition at St Luke's School of Nursing, Penn State University, and Cedar Crest College. As a Registered Dietician, she worked at Allentown Hospital, Phoebe Home, and Masonic Village.
She is survived by her four children, her husband Roger G Maurer, a granddaughter, a brother, and four stepchildren. Family and friends will be received from 1:30 PM until the time of service on September 13, 2025, at Sell Chapel, 200 Freemason Drive on the Masonic Village of Elizabethtown campus.
The Memorial Service will take place at 2 PM on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Sell Chapel. Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org. To leave an online condolence, visit SnyderFuneralHome.com.
Tricia will be remembered for her outgoing, friendly manner and her kind, caring, and thoughtful spirit. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
