In the Mainz-Bingen district, an incident unfolded on Thursday that has left a school bus driver injured and the community in shock. The bus driver, who was responsible for transporting children from a special needs school, was allegedly assaulted by a woman in front of multiple eyewitnesses on the school bus.
According to initial reports, the woman is accused of hitting the bus driver twice in the face, causing him a bloody nose and breaking his glasses. The bus driver was subsequently taken to the hospital, where he was suspected of having a nasal fracture.
However, the woman's account of the incident differs from what is being reported. She claims that she only pushed the man, denying hitting him. The police are currently investigating her account of the incident.
The children on the bus, who were also witnesses to the altercation, have reported to the police that the woman did indeed hit the bus driver. The woman allegedly accused the bus driver of trespassing, stating that he left the property despite being banned.
The bus driver, who was working for a special needs children's school bus, was responsible for picking up a child in Nieder-Olm. Following the incident, a substitute driver took over the journey to school.
Despite extensive searches, the name of the woman who allegedly injured the bus driver has yet to be released. The police are urging anyone with information regarding the incident to come forward.
