Women's Rugby World Cup: England Set for Quarter-Final Clash with Scotland Following a Winning Streak Against Australia, Tying a Record

In the thrilling conclusion of the group stages at the Women's Rugby World Cup, several teams have secured their spots in the last eight. Among them are Canada, Scotland, Australia, and England, who have all demonstrated impressive form.

Before their final group game, both Canada and Scotland had already qualified for the last eight. In their match against Scotland, Emily Tuttosi scored two tries for Canada, while Brittany Kassil and Gallagher found their way over the try-line for their respective teams. Canada emerged victorious with a score of 40-19.

Australia, coached by Jo Yapp, a former English scrum half and World Cup captain, started the game against Wales with an early lead through Adiana Talakai's try. However, Wales fought back, with Keira Bevan missing all of her conversion attempts. Fiji's Litiana Vueti, on the other hand, converted all of Fiji's tries as they won the match with a score of 28-25.

England, who have equaled their own record of 30 consecutive Test wins, had a dominant performance against Australia. They scored four second-half tries through Sadia Kabeya, Kelsey Clifford, Jess Breach, Abbie Ward, and Sarah Bern, securing a convincing victory.

The last eight match-ups are now set. Australia will face the Wallaroos, with England taking on Scotland. These highly anticipated matches will take place at the same venue in Bristol, with England playing Scotland a week on Sunday, and Australia facing Canada the day before.

Meanwhile, Fiji, who have won just two games at a Women's Rugby World Cup, will look to cause an upset against the Wallaroos. Fiji's head coach, Ioan Cunningham, will be determined to guide his team to success, while Sean Lynn, coach of Wales' rugby team, will be reflecting on their narrow loss to Fiji.

As the tournament progresses, teams like Ireland, who are aiming to repeat last year's win over New Zealand in Pool C, will be watching closely. The Women's Rugby World Cup is shaping up to be an exciting competition, with every team fighting to claim the coveted trophy.
