Work accident leads to death of truck driver in Attendorn
In the quiet town of Attendorn, tragedy struck on August 29, 2025, as a fatal workplace accident occurred at 14:48. The sources for this article are the Police Headquarters Olpe and the Attendorn Fire Department.
The accident involved a 53-year-old truck driver from Cologne, who was attempting to drive onto the premises of a local grocery store and open a roll-up door. Despite immediate resuscitation efforts, the truck driver tragically lost his life at the scene.
The truck, for unknown reasons, began moving and pinned the man between it and a wall. A store employee managed to move the truck slightly and free the man, who was then cared for by the emergency services and a crisis intervention team.
The police, supported by a specialist team from the Düsseldorf Police Headquarters, are currently investigating the accident. They assume that it was not caused by any third party. The traffic police were also at the scene, beginning their investigations immediately.
