Work ongoing at pipeline construction site on Edelweißstraße
In the heart of Hamburg, construction work is currently underway, causing disruptions to local traffic and public transport. The affected public transport lines include bus lines 20, 57, 81, 90, 93, 95, N6, N7, 280, 289, and 291, among others.
During this period, bus line 3 is also running via a modified route. In the direction of Wolfgangsiedlung, the modified route is Edelweißstraße - Eichenstraße - Asternweg to the Tulpenstraße stop. On the other hand, in the direction of Auloh, the modified route is Tulpenstraße - Erlenstraße - Enzianstraße - Asternweg - Eichenstraße - Flurstraße.
Unfortunately, certain stops cannot be served during this period. The Edelweißstraße, Eichenstraße, and Weidenweg stops in the direction of Auloh, as well as the Erlenstraße stop in the direction of Wolfgangsiedlung, will not be accessible. However, a substitute Weidenweg stop in the direction of Auloh will be served. The Flurstraße stop in the direction of Auloh will be served after the Asternweg stop.
Motorists are kindly requested to observe closure and detour signs, as traffic will be rerouted via Enzianstraße - Asternweg - Eichenstraße. Pedestrians can pass during the construction.
It's important to note that no information about the duration of the construction or traffic disruptions is available at this time. Additionally, no alternate bus routes or stops outside of the mentioned modifications have been specified.
During the Hamburg–Berlin railway renovation, major bus replacement services are operating, with over 170 buses deployed daily to cover canceled regional train services.
As always, we advise commuters to plan their journeys accordingly and to check the latest updates on the official transport authority's website. Stay safe and follow the signs during this period of construction.
