Canyon Ranch Tucson Shortlisted for Michelin Guide's New Wellness Award
Canyon Ranch Tucson, nestled in the heart of the Sonoran Desert, has been named among the world's top wellness destinations. The prestigious Michelin Guide has shortlisted the resort for its new Wellness Award, set to be announced on October 8, 2023.
The Michelin Guide, a global authority on restaurant and hotel ratings, is expanding its hotel recognition program with the introduction of the Wellness Award. This accolade honours the five best wellness hotels in the world, recognising establishments that prioritise wellness as a core aspect of their offerings, going beyond luxury spas and fitness centres.
Canyon Ranch Tucson's nomination is a testament to the transformative power of the Canyon Ranch experience. The resort offers a comprehensive wellness ecosystem, encompassing a large spa, medical facilities, fitness centres, spiritual sanctuaries, multiple dining venues, outdoor sports facilities, and gardens.
In addition to its Tucson property, Canyon Ranch's Lenox, Massachusetts, and Woodside, California, resorts hold the Michelin Guide's top rating of three Michelin Keys. The Lenox resort recently launched a science-driven program called Beat Burnout, a three-night retreat designed to help executives reset in an "always-on" work culture.
The Beat Burnout program combines biomarker testing, diagnostic screening, integrative coaching, and workshops with partners like Chief, the executive women's network. Additional sessions of Beat Burnout are scheduled for 2025, with more dates to follow in 2026.
Canyon Ranch CEO Mark Rivers emphasises that wellness is the foundation of every guest's stay at Canyon Ranch. The resort plans to pursue the Michelin Wellness Award at its newer location in Woodside, California, in addition to its established resorts in Lenox, Massachusetts, and Tucson, Arizona.
