In a bid to improve Kazakhstan's ecological situation, the national project "Clean Kazakhstan" has taken a significant stride with the introduction of eco-hubs in major cities. The latest addition to this initiative is the eco-hub planned for the capital, Astana, following the successful implementation of a similar project in Almaty.
The eco-hubs are ecological spaces designed to promote waste separation and conscious consumption. They serve as platforms for lectures, workshops, and interactive sessions focused on eco-education and reducing household waste. Last year, the first eco-hub was opened in Almaty by ECO Network, and it has since hosted events for 15-20 thousand people. The Astana eco-hub is expected to replicate this success.
The project initiator, Eugene Mukhamedzhanov, founder of ECO Network, emphasizes the importance of daily life changes towards waste sorting and conscious consumption. Mukhamedzhanov, who has been creating eco-culture products for seven years, including 'Green Office', 'Green School', and 'Green Courtyard', notes that the eco-hubs are part of a broader systemic change towards sustainability.
The Astana eco-hub will focus on promoting eco-friendly and locally produced products. Like its counterpart in Almaty, it will offer opportunities for waste sorting, training, workshops, and interactive sessions. Events at the eco-hub will be tailored for both adults and children to cultivate eco-friendly habits from an early age.
The Almaty eco-hub has already hosted events for a substantial number of people, with the Astana eco-hub expected to contribute to the formation of eco-friendly habits among its residents. The Almaty eco-hub, which has hosted events for 15-20 thousand people, is a testament to the public's interest in such initiatives.
The eco-hub in Astana, like its predecessor in Almaty, is initiated by Eugene Mukhamedzhanov, founder of ECO Network. Mukhamedzhanov, who previously successfully implemented a similar project in Almaty, emphasizes the importance of these hubs in fostering a sustainable future for Kazakhstan.
The Almaty eco-hub has already proven to be a successful platform for promoting eco-friendly habits and waste separation. With the introduction of the Astana eco-hub, Kazakhstan is taking a significant step towards a cleaner, greener future.
