Wreck involving a truck close to Rottenburg results in severe injuries for the driver
In an unfortunate turn of events, a 73-year-old driver was seriously injured in a truck overturning incident that took place on agricultural land in the Hinterruer area of St. Gallen, Switzerland. However, the exact name of the company owning the site remains undisclosed in the available information.
The incident occurred during the unloading of gravel on Wednesday morning. The Daimler-Benz Actros dump truck, involved in the accident, tipped onto its right side while raising the bed, causing the driver to be thrown from his seat in the cab.
The driver was immediately attended to and transported to the hospital by an ambulance. Regrettably, the extent of the injuries sustained and the current state of the driver's health have not been disclosed.
Interestingly, another similar incident occurred at a company in Frommenhausen, Rottenburg, Germany, around the same time. However, it seems that these two incidents are unrelated, as the second incident did not involve the same driver or the same truck model.
The overturning in the Hinterruer area occurred in an uneven area of the site, which may have contributed to the accident. As for the property damage, the extent is currently unknown and is being assessed by the relevant authorities.
Our thoughts are with the driver and his family during this difficult time. Further updates on the incident will be shared as they become available.
