The Wuppertaler SV (WSV) has a busy September ahead, with seven matches scheduled, including a test game and several league encounters.

On the 13th of September, the WSV will host SC Wiedenbrück at the Stadion am Zoo, with kick-off set for 2 pm. This will be followed by a test match against Spvg. Hagen at the Franz-Kremer-Stadion on the 4th of September, starting at 8 pm.

The WSV will face the U23 of SC Paderborn on the 17th of September, with the match scheduled for 7:30 pm. The venue for this encounter will be the traditional Uhlenkrug stadium.

The preparation for the important away game on Monday, 1st September 2025, against the U21 of 1. FC Köln is running smoothly.

However, the WSV will be without some key players due to injuries. Kadi Atmaca, who is considered too important for the squad due to his speed, technique, and goal threat, sustained a muscle tear at the end of July in a home game against Fortuna Köln. Initially, the WSV had assumed that Kadi would be out for about three weeks, but it appears that he will be out for at least two more weeks. Gaetano Manno, the sporting director, confirmed this, stating that he does not want to take any risks with Kadi's injury to avoid another injury.

Subaru Nishimura is out due to a metatarsal fracture, while Semir Saric, Alwin Weber, and Muhammed Bejdic are out with knee issues and an ACL tear, respectively.

In a positive development, Kadi Atmaca is expected to return by the match against Sportfreunde Lotte on the 27th of September.

Meanwhile, Gaetano Manno has stated that the opponent for the test game against Spvg. Hagen is at least on a par with Oberliga level. The WSV will also play against Sportfreunde Lotte on the 27th of September (2 pm), and Sporting director Gaetano Manno confirmed that the Niederrhein Cup second round match against SW Essen is yet to be scheduled but is likely to take place on the 9th or 10th of September.

The WSV will also travel to Siegen to face Sportfreunde Siegen on the 20th of September (2 pm, Stadion am Zoo).

As the WSV prepares for a busy September, fans will be eagerly awaiting the return of Kadi Atmaca and the team's performances in the upcoming matches.
