Yemeni Prime Minister, along with other ministers, shown dead in Israeli assault; Tel Aviv allegedly weakens Houthis of the 'resistance alliance'
In a tragic turn of events, a series of attacks in the Yemeni capital, Sanaa, on Thursday claimed the lives of several high-ranking officials. The attack was claimed by an unidentified group, leaving the cause of the violence unclear.
Among the victims was Yemen's Information Minister, Moammer al-Eryani, as well as the Minister of Electricity and Energy, Mohammed al-Ammari, the Minister of Local Administration, Hussein Maqbouli, the Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation, Abdel-Wahab al-Saqqaf, the Minister of Human Rights, Haitham al-Shareef, the Minister of Industry and Trade, Majed al-Din al-Asi, the Minister of Public Works and Transport, Abdul-Qader al-Jalali, the Minister of Higher Education and Research, Seham al-Hassani, and the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Nabil al-Farouq.
The Israeli military has stated that they targeted a military objective of the Houthi terrorist regime in the Sanaa area of Yemen on Thursday. However, it is unclear if this attack is connected to the incidents in the city.
It is with great sadness that we remember Yemeni political figure and senior Houthi official, Al-Rahawi, who died on 28 August 2025 in an Israeli airstrike in Sanaa, Yemen. His death is a significant loss to the political landscape of Yemen.
Our thoughts and condolences go out to the families and loved ones of those who lost their lives in this senseless act of violence. The loss of these ministers will undoubtedly have a profound impact on Yemen's government and its people.
