In the Berlin Regional Court, a trial is currently underway for a 24-year-old defendant, who is accused of a brazen robbery that took place on June 9, 2024, in Berlin-Neukölln. The defendant, who has no previous convictions, is charged with robbery and robbery with force against a motorist.

The incident unfolded around 6:00 PM on Karl-Marx-Straße. According to reports, the defendant, along with an accomplice, approached a driver's vehicle. The defendant is alleged to have reached through the open driver's window and snatched an expensive wristwatch from the driver's wrist.

Witnesses present at the scene reported the defendant's alleged mocking behaviour and his bragging about the crime. One eyewitness reported that the defendant ran into a building after the robbery. The defendant was later arrested on December 21, 2024.

Upon his arrest, the defendant was found in possession of the stolen wristwatch, which he allegedly waved in front of a camera installed in the building. The wristwatch, valued at approximately 6,500 euros, has since been seized as evidence.

The search results do not provide information about the accomplice present during the suspected robbery. Several homeless people were also present in the building at the time of the incident.

The defendant had been in custody since the arrest. The trial, which began in December 2024, has three more sessions scheduled, with the final session on September 15, 2024. The outcome of the trial will determine the defendant's fate.
