Young individuals in the community have spent the past decade honing their skills and experiences.

In the heart of Landshut, the city park played host to a special celebration last week. The anniversary event for MoJa, a decade-old mobile youth work service, was attended by Mayor Alexander Putz, representatives from the Youth Office, the City Youth Council, and a multitude of young people.

Mayor Putz took the opportunity to address the young attendees, emphasising the importance of meeting their needs. He praised the idea of bringing the MoJa bus to where young people already are, a testament to the service's commitment to accessibility.

Julian Napf, a constant member of the MoJa team since the beginning of mobile youth work ten years ago, was also present. Napf and his colleagues have been instrumental in supporting projects like the skate park and providing outreach youth work in the city districts.

MoJa serves as a point of contact for young people and young adults aged 14 to 27, offering leisure activities and organising events. The service also engages in networking and represents the interests of young people and young adults through working groups and the youth welfare committee.

The celebration offered a glimpse into MoJa's work over the past decade, with photos displayed that showed the development of its offerings and the ongoing high demand. The MoJa bus has become a regular part of many young people's daily lives.

Investing in youth, according to Mayor Putz, is as important as educational institutions and kindergartens, and leisure activities. Last year, MoJa acquired a new, fully equipped bus to continue its mission. The service operates at various locations within the city, ensuring it remains accessible to all.

Despite the celebration, questions remain about the origins of the Mobile Youth Work Landshut project and its current support. The search results do not provide information on who originally approved the project or whether it is still supported today.

Regardless, the anniversary event was a testament to the impact MoJa has had on the lives of young people in Landshut over the past ten years. The Mayor thanked the employees, cooperation partners, and city council for their support towards MoJa, looking forward to another decade of service.
