As the light turned green, the driver started driving, and the 12-year-old girl, who was reportedly running to catch a tram, ran in front of his car and was hit.
The emergency services immediately responded to the scene and took the 12-year-old girl to the hospital for further treatment. The girl's condition is not currently known.
