Call for Proposals: Reformation of Aachen's Children and Youth Committee
The city of Aachen is inviting proposals for the reformation of its Children and Youth Committee. The deadline for submissions is September 30, 2025, following the local elections on September 14, 2025.
The Children and Youth Committee consists of voting members from council factions and other individuals proposed by recognised carriers of free youth welfare. Each proposal must include the proposed individual's name, first name, date of birth, address, and occupation. Additionally, the details of the proposing free carrier must be included.
Proposed individuals must have reached the age of 18 and reside in the city of Aachen. The proposals should be submitted in writing to the Department of Kita and Child Day Care, Office of the Children and Youth Committee, City of Aachen, Mozartstraße 2-10, Attn: Mrs. Olbertz. It is important to note that the current proposed candidates for members and deputies of the Children and Youth Commission to be submitted by the recognised sponsors of independent youth welfare in Aachen before September 30, 2025, are not publicly available.
A total of twelve members and twelve deputies are sought for the reformation of the Children and Youth Committee. The elected members will be chosen by the city council of Aachen. The proposals will be considered for the election that takes place after the local elections on September 14, 2025.
Already submitted proposals will be considered in the proposal list for the election, as long as they meet the legal requirements and are complete. Proposals submitted after the deadline will not be considered.
We encourage all interested individuals and recognised carriers of free youth welfare to submit their proposals promptly to contribute to the reformation of the Children and Youth Committee in Aachen.
