Youth gathering initiated in Nieder-Roden
The youth centre in Nieder-Roden, Rodgau, has recently opened its doors as a new meeting point for children and young people aged 9 and above. Located at Puiseauxplatz 4 within the evangelical community centre, the centre is supervised by pedagogical specialist Yasemin Kök and student assistant Marc Vath.
Every Wednesday from 3 to 7 pm, the youth centre is bustling with activity. Alongside a wide range of leisure activities such as gaming, sports, and creative pursuits, joint cooking takes place in the integrated kitchen. Here, young people can actively participate, work together, and exchange ideas in a relaxed atmosphere.
In addition to the leisure activities, the youth centre offers a safe and confidential space for conversations and counseling. An office at the centre is available for confidential conversations and low-threshold counseling services. The centre's staff, including Yasemin Kök and Marc Vath, are available not only during leisure activities but also for personal matters.
From October to March, the centre is additionally open on Thursdays. However, during the warmer months, the youth mobile, which is in operation at Puiseauxplatz, is paused.
The youth centre is equipped with a variety of facilities, including a pool table, a ping pong table, a Nintendo Switch, a sound system, a movement room, a creative area for painting and crafting, and a variety of board games.
The youth centre in Nieder-Roden, Rodgau, provides a comprehensive support system for young people. With its extended hours and diverse offerings, it aims to offer more than just leisure activities. It is a place where young people can find support, engage in meaningful activities, and build lasting relationships.
