The city of Dresden is set to host the much-anticipated Finals 2025, a grand multisport event that will take place from July 31 to August 3, 2025. This will be the fifth edition of this exciting event, promising a week filled with action, emotions, and high-performance sports.

Broadcasting the Finals 2025

The Finals 2025 will be broadcast by ARD and ZDF, offering over 30 hours of live coverage in their main programs and around 100 hours of live streaming on their web and app. Lena Kesting will guide viewers through the two "Finals" days, while reporting from the Heinz-Steyer Stadium will be handled by the new ZDF athletics presenter, Maral Bazargani.

The broadcast will feature a variety of sports, including athletics, canoeing, gymnastics, swimming, triathlon, breaking (B-Boys Pro), flag football, speed climbing, badminton, archery, rowing, and basketball 3x3.

The Schedule

The Swimming World Championships in Singapore pool competitions will be shown from 1:00 PM on ZDF. The final day's broadcast on ZDF starts at 10:15 AM, and for over eight hours on Sunday, August 3, viewers can witness the excitement unfold. The men's triathlon will be the first event broadcast on the final day.

On Friday, August 1, the "sportstudio live" show will start at 2:05 PM with the men's and women's decathlon. Sports scheduled for Friday afternoon include fencing, coastal rowing, rhythmic gymnastics, canoeing, gymnastics, and rugby.

A Central Location on the Elbe

The Finals 2025 are centrally located in Dresden, directly on the Elbe. ZDF will have a stand and the "sportstudio" goal wall at the Ostra Sports Park during the event.

A Diverse Showcase of German High-Performance Sports

Approximately 3,500 athletes will compete in 20 sports and vie for 133 German championships. ZDF sports director Yorck Polus stated that they are delighted to present the diversity of German high-performance sports to a large audience.

Ronald Rauhe, a two-time Olympic canoe champion, described the Finals as "small national Olympic Games" with many sports, big emotions, and real highlights.

Live streams of the "Finals 2025" competitions will be available on sportstudio.de from 10:00 AM. Frequent switching between the nine sports venues within a radius of approximately 2.5 kilometers is planned during the broadcast to ensure viewers don't miss a moment of the action.
