Zwift streamlines cycling, enhances Click shifters, and expands the New York cityscape in its latest update

Zwift, the popular virtual cycling platform, has unveiled a series of updates set to revolutionise the cycling experience for its users. Starting from November 2025, the platform will introduce personalised workout recommendations driven by AI, which will adjust weekly to cater to individual fitness levels and goals.

The updates also extend to the world of Zwift Racing. The Zwift Racing League will host four rounds of team events from September to April, with the full event schedule for the 2025/26 season set to return. Tighter banding in races will make competition more intense, promising a thrilling experience for all participants.

For those looking to join team events, options start with Z//Racing in September and continue through to the Zwift Games in February and March 2026. The online Brompton World Championships will also take place from 17 to 23 November, with participants competing on custom London routes.

Zwift's New York routes have received an upgrade, now featuring parts of the city's subway network and new Power Segments. Riders can look forward to riding over the Brooklyn Bridge and into Brooklyn's Prospect Park on 31km of new roads, available from 27 October.

The updates also bring a new event series called Zwift Unlocked, running from 6 October to 16 November, with five stages and extra XP for competing. For those participating in the Brompton World Championships, the DropShop will offer tweed kit to get you in the spirit.

In terms of hardware, Zwift has introduced a new version of the Zwift Click controller, offering a greater range of controls from the handlebars. The new controller is designed for easier mounting to tri bars, flat bars, and drop bars. The updates also include Zwift Cog and Click upgrade kits, available for trainers from major brands like Tacx, with a price drop to £49.99 / $49.99 / €49.99.

Zwift has made it easier to pair your trainer to the device you use to run Zwift by offering a recommended best connection type. The platform is also expanding its range of Zwift Ready trainers from brands like Wahoo, Elite, JetBlack, and Tacx.

New real-world clothing is available from Australian brand Pedal Mafia, adding a touch of fashion to your virtual cycling adventures. With prices for these trainers starting at £279.99 / $299.99 / €250.00, Zwift is set to offer an immersive and personalised cycling experience like never before.
